(1) less than : 少於(=under)
He gave me less than 5o dollars,(他給我的錢少於五十元。)
Less than five people will go to the concert today. (少於五人會去演唱會)
(2)not less than:不少於;至少(=a least)
He has not less than 200 dollars.
=He has 200 dollars at (the) least.(他至少有二百元。)
(3) no less than :有…之多(=as many as/as much as) 已經不了。
He has no less than 200 dollars. =He has as much as 200 dollars.(他有二百元之多。)
He has no less than three girl friends.
He has as many as three girl friends.
=He has no fewer than three girl friends.(他有三個女朋友之多。)
(4)no less…. than 和…..一樣……( = as… as…)
句型:S1+ V1+no less+ N/原級Adj.+than+ S2+….( A和B一樣….)
John is no less enthusiastic than his brother.
=John is as enthusiastic as his brother.
=John and his brother are equally enthusiastic.
